Well, in Australia, it’s that time of year again — back to school. As soon as you become a parent of a preschool or school age child you quickly learn the yearly routine. And I guess in someways as a high school teacher, I’m even more familiar with it. By the time the end of the school year rolls around, it’s Christmas followed by hot summer days spent at the beach and before you know it, it’s time to prepare for a new school year.
This year Eva will be starting Pre-Kindergarten for 3-year-olds. And like many parents, I’m a little apprehensive and nervous about how she is going to handle the change — new teachers and lots of new faces. And despite Eva’s turbulent start, Eva grew to love her teachers at daycare, so I can only hope she settles in quickly to her new school environment.
Recently, Stuck on You sent Eva a lovely package filled with a few personalised items to help her start the school year. A new stainless steel drink bottle, which keeps water cool for longer and has no “plasticly” aftertaste. And best of all, my self-absorbed 2-and-a-half year old loves pointing out her name and saying “mine!”. Along with the drink bottle, Eva has a number of matching name labels in the gorgeous “Woodlands” design, which are a must have for any kid going to daycare, preschool or school.
And for any preschool age child, whom are often involved in messy art and craft activities, another must have is the art smock. With a personalised front pocket, elasticated wrists and tie at the back, they are fantastic for protecting clothes. However, I would mention that the aprons might be a better choice during the Australian summertime as the smock is rather thick. Made from a cotton canvas they’re durable — so far both paint and chalk have washed out easily and it’s looking new again.
Not only was Stuck on You kind enough to send these items to Eva, they are also offering two (2) lucky readers $25 gift vouchers each. If you’re not familiar with this brand, Stuck on You has a plethora of personalised stickers — labels for clothes, shoes, bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, bags, everything.
TO ENTER all you need to do is visit Stuck on You, find your favourite set of labels and then leave a comment* telling me which ones you would want for your child.
This giveaway is for two (2) separate $25 gift vouchers. It is open internationally and closes January 18, 2013. The winners will be chosen with random.org
